Sponsoring a child at Hope Village is an excellent way to support our mission in Haiti. A monthly donation will help secure the future of your child by providing some steady funds to cover his or her essential needs. You will hear from your child in a personal email message twice a year. Best of all, he will feel loved a little bit more, knowing that there is someone special out there who cares.

It costs Pwoje Espwa $150 a month to provide each child with basic care and education. This $150 is divided into 5 equal amounts of $30 for the following categories: Shelter, Food, Basic Medical Care, Education and Clothing/Shoes. Please support a child in one or more of these areas. Your monthly donation will be allocated to your child's most pressing needs. To become a sponsor, note your child's Case ID#. Next, click here for the child sponsorship donation page.

Loudtama’s Story:

Loudtama, known as Tama, was the first Espwa girl.  She and her brothers were found by Father Marc scavenging for food in a canal full of trash.  Tama was two years old.  Tama and her brothers were not clothed and were starving.  After investigating the situation, it was learned that Tama's father had abandoned the family leaving the children and sick mother to fend for themselves. The mother had essentially given up. She no longer made an effort to care for her young, and instead of leaving the three toddlers as garbage scavengers, Espwa took them in as their own.

Being that she is the first Espwa girl, Tama is known by everyone. She is well-behaved, loves dancing and singing, and is a good "big sister" to the girls first coming in.  She is in the second grade and is extremely helpful to the House Mothers. She wants to be a singer when she grows up.
